How To Stay Hydrated

If you notice any of the following signs of dehydration, you should try to replenish your fluid as soon as possible. Offer the person you care for the opportunity to show you the first signs of dehydration and quickly replenish your electrolytes with water, Gatorade, Powerade or coconut water. You just have to make sure you get enough fluid, and if dehydration creeps up on you, it’s not as bad as you’d expect.

It is sometimes difficult to monitor how much water you need to drink to feel hydrated, but if you make a habit of it, you drink water more often than you breathe air. Water is cool and refreshing, which makes it more attractive and prevents dehydration. If you work in a hot and humid place or at high altitude to prevent dehydration, increase your water intake.

Before we delve into the tips for staying hydrated, let’s discuss why it’s important to be healthy – and hydrated from the start. Especially in the heat or outdoor sports, make sure you carry a sports drink that moisturizes and restores much-needed electrolytes. Swap your 8-ounce glass of water for an electrolyte – an improved drink to replenish your electrolyte levels and achieve a better balance between your water content and your body’s natural moisture capacity.

Staying hydrated doesn’t have to be hard, but when you let your body dehydrate, the energy zaps and you feel weak and sick. If you have stomach flu or are recovering from a drunken night out, moisturizing is crucial to prevent the harmful effects of dehydration. You need to drink enough to quench your thirst, and it seems the best way to stay hydrated after a sweaty workout is to keep your body hydrated.
