 200 g All Purpose Flour
 100 g Butter
 185 g Powered Sugar
 1 tsp Baking Powder
 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
 2 Eggs
 ½ cup Milk
 2 tbsp Lemon zest
 ½ tsp Salt
Ingredients For Glaze (Topping)
 ¼ cup Butter
 1 cup Powdered sugar
 2 tsp Lemon Juice or Zest

Directions for Cake

Preheat:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x9 inch pan.

Mix wet ingredients:

In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar, egg, lemon zest and vanilla extract.

Mix dry ingredients:

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.

Mix dry and wet ingredients together:

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix well with a spatula without any lumps.

Pour into pan:

Pour the Mix into the prepared pan and tap gently to remove any air bubbles.

Bake:

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until firm.

Directions for Glaze (Topping)

Mix the Ingredients:

Bring the butter to room temperature and mix well
Mix gently with the powered sugar to a frothy creamy consistency
Add the lemon juice or lemon zest and mix well

Icing

Let the cake cool for 15 mins.
Gently spread the glaze on top of the cake and sprinkle toppings as you wish.
